Very disappointing the so called sex scandal to strike McCain and his lobbyist

A very sorry picture is emerging of a person who has all the right credentials but not the right backbone.

We dont know why his campaign was talking behind his back to the woman and to the NYT but not to the candidate.

this does not bode well for the Presidency, becoz we could get a dithering not in charge guy whose staff runs the show and runs rings around him.

Already his past history is no day at the beach aside from the heroism of his POW and Vietnam war days.

He married this rich second wife in less than exemplary conditions. She stole prescription meds from a drug rehab program and then passed the blame to somebody else, only admitting it months or maybe years later. Typical of a rich, white woman who doesnt feel she has to acknowledge personal failings.

Then the Keating 5 issue.

Now this lobbyist issue, maybe he was taken with the young chick, though she doesnt look like anybody's favorite valentine. Maybe he was taken by the wealth that came along with her. dont forget his second wife was a rich chick.

But why wasnt he in the decision loop. Why were his aides intimidating the chick. It sounds very French Court and Manchurian back scenes manipulation, which is the last thing America needs. Rush Limbaugh should be worried about that rather than just beating Liberals on the head. What does it say about transparency, taking responsibility and being a stand up guy.

And then there is the dithering on the votes.

Let's say it does not add up to a good thing.

We are getting a wheeler dealer, who talks a good streak and tries to project dependability, but he is a weasel and a spineless. He also never talks about his Bangladeshi adopted child, like he is ashamed he did it. What's the matter.

This is not a stand up guy. Good for the Senate, but a weasel in the White House.

so what a difference a month makes, Barak Obama has swept state after State while Hillary

has had a string of defeats.

Mitt Romney, who I thought, the Rethugs and the country would embrace as the next Bush, has been rejected and dropped out.

McCain is now the front runner of the Republican Party.

Hearing Hillary campaign for President is like hearing her campaign for Somebody Else. When she repeats the mantra, this country needs a president, people, or at least me, think she is talking about Al Gore, or Bill Clinton or even Barak Obama, we do not think she is talking about herself. She has actually unclinched the sale she thought she had made, she now looks like a campaigner for Somebody Else.

Barack on the other hand looks Presidential, even if we are not quite sure what kind of President he would make.

We are also sure when and if he takes office, there will be a huge backlash. He should not be boasting about himself and complaining about the Clintons who he said lost the House, Senate, State Houses and governorships. That may well be the fate awaiting his term.

We also dont know the severity of the backlash from the business community and the world and whether America turns into a second grade power.

Of course it is hard to argue with Bush failures where the economy and our strength internationally has been denigrated. But if we continue in free fall Obama will get the blame.

On the other hand, McCain is no consolation particularly if he continues or perpetuates the awful Bush tax cuts which have devastated our safety net, infrastructure and economy or fails to show leadership to the business community.

Also a policy of continued confrontation may get us into yet another war, even more arduous and dangerous than the one in which we are now.

In the mid east Bush Israeli policy is in a complete shambles, with only more belligerence and bad press being generated by Olmert.

The future looks grim.

It is thrilling that Obama supporters are so enthusiastic about the change they think they are bringing.

I am not sure at all that it will be the kind of change that will restore the stature and strength of America.

That's why I am waiting and watching. And praying a lot.
